MGM Resorts International (NYSE: MGM) Q2 Earnings Preview: What to Expect

  • MGM Resorts International (NYSE: MGM) is scheduled to release its second-quarter 2026 results after the market closes on July 29, 2026. Analyst estimates vary by source, with EPS projections ranging from $0.56 to $0.62 and revenue estimates of approximately $4.42 billion to $4.51 billion.

The company’s performance could benefit from convention activity in Las Vegas and market-share gains in Macau. However, softer leisure demand, unfavorable gaming results, and continued pressure on operating margins could weigh on the quarter.

MGM Resorts International (NYSE: MGM) is a global entertainment company known for its portfolio of destination resorts, casinos, and hotels. The company will release its second-quarter 2026 financial results after the market closes on July 29, followed by a conference call at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time.

For the upcoming quarter, some Wall Street estimates project earnings per share (EPS) of approximately $0.56 and revenue of around $4.42 billion. Meanwhile, the Zacks Consensus Estimate calls for EPS of $0.62 and revenue of approximately $4.51 billion. Differences between estimates are normal because financial-data providers may use different analyst groups and update their figures at different times.

Investors will closely examine MGM’s Las Vegas Strip operations, where convention activity could support hotel and food-and-beverage results. MGM China will also be an important area to watch. Although the broader Macau market experienced challenging conditions during the quarter, MGM China was expected to gain market share, partly because of new hotel suites and premium gaming facilities at MGM Cotai.

BetMGM, the online gaming joint venture owned by MGM Resorts and Entain, recently reported second-quarter net revenue of $711 million, representing a 3% year-over-year increase. Its iGaming revenue rose 8% to $483 million, while online sports betting revenue remained flat at $228 million. Retail and other revenue declined sharply, while adjusted EBITDA fell 15% to $74 million.

Despite generating profitable growth, BetMGM now expects full-year net revenue and adjusted EBITDA to finish near the lower ends of its existing guidance ranges. This more cautious outlook could temper the digital segment’s contribution to investor sentiment surrounding MGM’s upcoming report.
