  • The mobile app marketing company reported Q2 revenue of $1.924 billion, a 53% year-over-year increase, but fell short of Wall Street’s expectation of $1.94 billion.
  • Despite the revenue miss, AppLovin delivered strong earnings, with diluted EPS of $3.76, adjusted EBITDA of $1.614 billion, and free cash flow of $863.3 million. The company also repurchased $551.3 million of its shares.

AppLovin is a leading mobile technology company that provides a platform for developers to market and monetize their applications. On August 6, 2026, BTIG adjusted its price target for the company following the release of AppLovin’s second-quarter financial results.

The analyst lowered the price target for AppLovin’s stock to $574.00 when the stock was trading at $417.80. This target suggested potential upside of approximately 37.39%. The optimistic outlook came even as the stock fell more than 24% in after-hours trading following the earnings report.

The stock decline followed AppLovin’s second-quarter results. As highlighted by The Wall Street Journal, the company’s sales showed significant revenue growth but did not meet analysts’ forecasts. AppLovin reported revenue of $1.924 billion, a 53% increase from the previous year, but slightly below Wall Street’s expectation of $1.94 billion.

Despite the revenue miss, AppLovin reported strong earnings that were generally in line with analyst expectations. Diluted EPS was $3.76. Adjusted EBITDA, a measure of operating profitability, increased by 58% to $1.614 billion. The company also generated $863.3 million in free cash flow, representing cash remaining after capital expenditures and other investing requirements.

Looking ahead, AppLovin provided a third-quarter outlook that some investors viewed as modest. The company expects revenue between $2.055 billion and $2.085 billion, compared with analyst consensus of approximately $2.068 billion. During the second quarter, AppLovin also continued its share repurchase program, buying back $551.3 million of its common stock.
